Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are the hottest buzzwords. Finding out about them isn’t simple.

If you are unsure as to what AI is, a simple explanation is that AI is a new artificial intelligence that enables machines to mimic human performance and calculations. Artificial Intelligence is developing algorithms that can replicate and surpass human intelligence.

Machine Learning is a subset of Artificial Intelligence; the approach to creating computers that mimic human intelligence. This article will explain the difference between machine learning and Artificial Intelligence and how they work.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning differs from traditional learning systems. They do not define what is learned or what we learn, as more often than not, we don’t know how we learn or how machines learn. Instead we train a computer system to learn to imitate the way our brain works.

We have already heard about computer systems that are controlled by AI (Artificial Intelligence). AI brings together a vast array of technologies and applications that include both science fiction and math. These systems could be any computer system or any combination of computers, usually operating autonomously. The best time to think about AI is at any point in time, not once.

There are some systems that are true AI, like IBM’s Jeopardy and Google’s AlphaGo, but as we know, today’s systems are still much slower than our natural human brains. Even the best computer-based companies, such as Google, are still significantly far from controlling a natural human as we would expect from them.

Most systems that are proven to be smart and are learning are two different things. Most systems that are self-aware don’t have in-built programming. Your brain is the system that is programed.

The technologies of A.I. and Machine Learning and AI are currently involved in many of our world experiences that we take for granted: our smartphones, our cars, our doctor’s visit and smart meters. In addition, most of our computers today are also using AI or Machine Learning.

In the future, there will be no separation between AI and machine learning. The systems we use to guide the way of today’s systems will become part of our brains.

Building off the techniques of AI, machine learning can be applied as one of the main branches of Artificial Intelligence and allow us to give our machines the knowledge and skills that we have.

If you are thinking of what machine learning is, you might not realize that what happens here is pretty simple. Suppose we have a system which analyzes and gives us the insights into trends. But the system isn’t able to correctly forecast a future trend. What happens to the system that provides the insights? The system doesn’t perform well anymore. To fix this problem the system gets recertified; this recertification allows the system to know that it’s right. As more information is processed by the system, we get more accurate forecasts.

Now this system can predict the pattern in any kind of data. It’s very powerful. This is where artificial intelligence comes in.

Machine Learning and AI

The computer system that replaces the system that learns is termed as Artificial Intelligence. These systems don’t follow the data in such a way that they are not influenced by human beings. A machine learning system is capable of learning from its past experiences. The results that the system achieve are provided by the system that is recertified.

As more information is processed by the system, we get more accurate forecasts. These trends will be repeated. As more knowledge is computed by the system, we collect more past knowledge and be better equipped to predict future trends.

It’s like watching a game of cricket on TV. The history of the game is so meaningful that even as a child I understood that the game is played with a cricket ball, the batsman bats, the bowler bowls and the game ends in an area called “run”. Now when I watch the video, I know the history, skill and skill of the players, but also the game will have its flaws because the time of passing the ball, the batsman bats is possible to be affected by slight mistakes.

The game of cricket is a great example to use when considering the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.

Applied Machine Learning is an ideal science to help us solve our world problems, prepare our future and guide our way of thinking. It is just that — a science.
