Pollution is the introduction to the environment of chemicals, particulate matter, or noise that can cause harm to ecosystems, humans and other species.
This article outlines the problems that pollution poses and why environmentalists are fighting it.
Pollution thrives when massive amounts indiscriminate waste enter the environment across a vast range of sectors-agriculture, manufacturing, electricity generation and transport including cars, trucks and aircraft to name a few.
There are many ways we can proactively prevent pollution: governmental policy and incentives for recycling and conservation and strong environmental laws and enforcement. These will also help us to protect our current natural resources so we can all enjoy clean air and water, safe food and healthy communities.
There are four major types of pollution:
Land Pollution
Air Pollution
Water Pollution
Noise Pollution
Land Pollution :
Land pollution occurs due to garbage and plastic bags which are thrown on land. It pollutes our land which is very dangerous for our health.
Air Pollution :
Air pollution occurs when harmful gases are released in air from industries and vehicles. It causes air pollution. These gases become harmful acids when attached with clouds and causes acid rain. Acid rain is harmful for sea animals, trees and limestone work.
Water Pollution :
Water pollution occurs when chemicals or dangerous substances are dissolve into water, including chemicals, water from washing, sewage, pesticides and fertilizers from agriculture, or other metals.
Water pollution is dangerous for sea animals as well as humans.
Noise Pollution :
Noise pollution can cause health problems for humans and animals, both on land and in the sea. Traffic noise, rock concerts, noise of drill machines, songs and other sounds that can cause hearing loss, stress, and high blood pressure. Noise from ships and human activities in the seas and ocean is harmful to sea animals as well.
